The SDSU Summer Storage Program is a convenient on-campus storage solution operated by The UPS Store® at SDSU exclusively for SDSU students during the summer break.

All items are stored right on campus in our climate-controlled warehouse maintained at 65-75°F. Your belongings never leave SDSU.

Our summer storage program covers the entire summer break period, from when you drop off your items (April/May) until you pick them up (starting August).

Visit the order page and choose your package. Or, you may come into the store and speak to a summer storage specialist who will assist you with all your summer storage needs.

Yes! You can add additional boxes or specialty items at any time, based on availability. Simply visit either The UPS Store® location on campus.

The drop-off period runs from April 29th through May 15th at either The UPS Store® location on campus.

The exact same process students use all year. All boxes are sealed with tamper-evident tape, barcoded, and an email from our system will go out to your sdsu.edu email with a pickup code. When returning, come to the store where you dropped off with the code and a SDSU ID. Pickup begins August 1st.

Early pickup may be available – we ask that you give us at least 48 hours notice. Please contact us directly to discuss your specific needs.

Items must be picked up within the first 3 days of the new semester to avoid extended storage fees. After that period, additional charges will apply ($100 per week).

You can store most personal belongings including clothes, books, electronics, small appliances, and specialty items like bikes, mini-fridges, and rugs. See our specialty item list for details.

Prohibited items include:

• Hazardous materials
• Food
• Liquids
• Anything perishable

Yes, boxes should not exceed 60 lbs. An overweight fee of $50 will apply to boxes exceeding this limit.

Yes, you can use your own boxes. However, we strongly recommend using our The UPS Store® boxes because they are specifically sized for our storage system and have higher burst and crush weight limits to ensure safe storage. If you choose to use your own boxes:

• We will bill according to our closest box size offered
• An additional irregular fee of $25.00 will apply
• The same applies to plastic totes (it's generally cheaper to place items in our boxes or store the tote within our box to avoid the irregular fee)

Remember that only boxes purchased from us are eligible for the 100% supply credit toward your storage fees.

Yes, it is maintained at 65-75 degrees. However, we do not offer any guarantee on climate-controlled items or guarantee a specific temperature.

All packages are covered for the standard The UPS Store® declared value which is $100 for loss and $100 for items packed to UPS Store standard. Additional declared value coverage is available for purchase.

In the rare event of damage, please notify us immediately. All claims must be submitted within 24 hours of pickup.
